Television plays a major role in our lives today in fact it's hard to imagine a world without it. So what would happen if you were faced with a TV or video that needed to be repaired, would you know how to fix either of them?

By taking the ICS TV and Video Servicing course with ICS you would! In fact, you can learn all about repairing and maintaining two of the nation's favourite household items. You'll cover all subjects from circuits, to tubes, to broadcasting systems, and you could even use your new skills to enter the profession as a Trainee TV & Video Service Engineer.

Pre-requisites
Before you take this course, you should have a good knowledge of basic electronics. If you don't, you should consider taking one of the following ICS courses first: Introduction to Electronics and Electricity (REN54), City & Guilds Basic Electronic Engineering (REE61) and Electronic Engineering (REN02).

Study Time
150 hours approx. For example: 6 hours per week to complete in 3 months, or 3 hours per week to complete in 9 months. Study as little or as much as you wish.

Exam Details

This course includes a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor. Once your tutor has marked and graded your work, they'll send it back to you with their comments, if any.

You will receive two free textbooks,  "The Television & Video Engineer's Pocket Book" and "Servicing TV, Satallite & Video Equipment". You will also receive a Digital Multimetre for measuring voltage levels.
