The Impressionists
Course summary This course is one of a series designed for anyone who wants to extend their appreciation of the visual arts. The aim of the course is to develop a wider understanding of the development of Impressionism through an examination of the work of individual artists, and of the social, cultural and political context in which they worked. Students undertake a series of tutor-led practical assignments and compile a visual dairy of photographs, sketches and notes to complement their studies.
The course involves approximately 72 hours of study.
