Developing Sketchbooks

 

Course Summary
This course concentrates on developing personal creativity through the use of sketchbooks. It consists of a series of projects designed to produce lively, individual sketchbook work using drawing, painting, mark making, photography and mixed media.

The course consists of two units, each of which is designed to progressively develop skills in observation, creative interpretation and the imaginative use of media and materials.

Unit 1: Looking and recording
Unit 2: Creative development

This course is designed both for students who are building a portfolio, and for those who simply want to develop their creativity. Students undertaking the course can expect to produce sketchbook material which is varied, imaginative and individual

What’s included in the fee
The course fee includes unlimited online tuition and support, together with access to comprehensive course materials and to a secure personal online studio, where you can upload and store images of your work and communicate with your tutor.

All courses are supported by comprehensive learning materials which provide step by step instructions for the completion of exercises and projects, together with suggestions for further study and information on artists, techniques and materials.

Please note that at present you should allow 10-14 days for your Studio Art School course account to become active.
