Aim
To provide an understanding of stress in the workplace and how it can be recognised and managed

Target Audience
This programme is designed for people who wish to develop a greater understanding of the nature, causes, symptoms and techniques for managing stress, at a personal and workplace level.

The course covers a syllabus of Nine modules:

Unit 2: The Stress Response

Unit 3: Symptoms of Stress

Unit 4: Understanding the Coping Process

Unit 5: Managing Stress - Skills and Techniques

Unit 6: Relaxation and Stress

Unit 7: Nutrition and Its Role in Managing Stress

Unit 8: Self-Concept and Self-Esteem

Unit 9: Goal Setting and Time Management

Exam fees
The course price includes exam and accreditation fees so you will not be faced with any additional costs.

Pre-requisites
All Study House courses provide all of the information required to complete the programme and no prior learning is required.

Reading lists
Everything required is provided in your study pack but, where it is appropriate, included is either a reading list or, more often, a "sources of further information" sheet which signposts books, publications and web sites that you will find helpful if you wish to explore the subject further.

Study Time
Study House recommend that you plan on timetabling between 80 and 100 hours in order to complete the course.

Course duration
Plan your own flexible study schedule. You will receive tutor support for a full year from your date of registration. This may be extended by agreement between you and your tutor (in the case of house/job change, maternity break for example)
