Romanticism

Course summary
This course is one of a series designed for anyone who wants to extend their appreciation of the visual arts. The aim of the course is to develop a wider understanding of the development of Romanticism through an examination of the work of individual artists, and of the social, cultural and political context in which they worked. Students undertake a series of tutor-led practical assignments and compile a visual diary of photographs, sketches and notes to complement their studies.

The course involves approximately 72 hours of study.

What’s included in the fee
The course fee includes unlimited online tuition and support, together with access to course materials and to a secure personal online studio, where you can upload and store material for your visual diary and communicate with your tutor.

All our courses are supported by comprehensive learning materials which provide step by step instructions for the completion of assignments, together with suggestions for further study and information on artists, techniques and materials.

Please note that at present you should allow 10-14 days for your Studio Art School course account to become active.
