Introduction to Linocut Printmaking

Course summary
This course provides an introduction to the process of linocut printmaking. Linocut is an extremely flexible and versatile printmaking medium, requiring only basic equipment and materials. The course deals with the preparation and layout of designs; with the use of cutting tools and basic cutting techniques, and with the taking of prints from the block, both in monochrome and in colour.

The course involves approximately 72 hours of study.

What’s included in the fee
The course fee includes unlimited online tuition and support, together with access to course materials and to a secure personal online studio, where you can upload and store images of your work and communicate with your tutor.
All courses are supported by comprehensive learning materials which provide step by step instructions for the completion of exercises and projects, together with suggestions for further study and information on artists, techniques and materials.
