This Diploma level Course in Child Development is designed to enhance the understanding of childhood. It is for those people who have an interest in the early years, either from a personal or a professional perspective. The Course is aimed at those people who may be out of touch with formal education and are wishing to develop their learning skills in a specific area of Psychology.
People who have children of their own (or planning to) or who are already working in child related professions but wish to enhance their understanding of Child Psychology will also find this Course of interest. People who are looking for employment, such as nursery nurse, nanny or aupair will also find this course of interest and use in furthering their studies and knowledge.
The Course examines the development of children from the first stages of pregnancy through to adolescence. The section on pregnancy also examines issues to do with the mother in pregnancy.
