Course Overview
Whether you visit Germany to explore the scenic lakes and atmospheric castles or the Black Forest, you should make sure you're perfectly prepared by gaining a vital understanding of the written and spoken language.

By studying GCSE German, you'll cover topics including My World, Holiday, Time and Travel, Work and Lifestyle, and The Young Person in Society. What's more, if you find that Germany's for you, you'll have the perfect head start needed to gain employment there.

This home study course will really give you the opportunity to impress. We'll even provide you with audio tapes so you can start speaking the language straight away.

There is no deadline for enrolment so you can start your course at any time.

Exam Details
Once you've enrolled on your chosen course(s), you'll receive all the information you need to arrange your exams*, including details of syllabuses, exam boards and dates. As exams are held in various parts of the UK, you shouldn't have to travel too far to sit them.

If you have any questions at any time about arranging your exams, the ICS Student Advisers will be pleased to help.

Exams take place in June and the entry deadlines are mid January. Exams consist of Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing = 3 hours 25 mins.

You should have a good bi-lingual dictionary and access to a tape recorder for listening to the course tapes and recording your assignments.

NB: ICS cannot accept assignments recorded on dictaphone tapes.
