A Level Economics
Course Overview If you see your future in politics or finance, an 'A' Level in Economics will prepare you perfectly.
This home study course will help you gain a valuable understanding of politics and the economy both here in the UK, and abroad. The key topics you'll cover include Markets, Managing the Economy, Industrial Economics, Labour Markets, and the UK in the Global Economy.
What's more, when you complete your 'A' Level, you'll have positive proof that you have the ability to see the wider picture - something that all employers really appreciate. You'll also be perfectly prepared to help make big decisions for the company you work for.
There is no deadline for enrolment so you can start your course at any time.
Pre-requisites
GCSE Economics is not required, however an interest in economic affairs and a desire to explore the study of economics in the modern world is essential.
Study Time 200 hours approx.

Exam Details
Once you've enrolled on your chosen course(s), you'll receive all the information you need to arrange your exams*, including details of syllabuses, exam boards and dates. As exams are held in various parts of the UK, you shouldn't have to travel too far to sit them.
If you're based outside of the UK, it may be possible to sit your exam through your local British Council, depending on your location. If you have any questions at any time about arranging your exams, the ICS Student Advisers will be pleased to help.
Exams take place in January and June with the exam enrolment deadlines being mid August and January respectively.
