Gain a Diploma in Dog Grooming – from the comfort of home
A dog is a man’s best friend. Sure, it’s a cliché of course, but anyone who has owned a dog, or has looked after a dog knows that it’s absolutely true! Dogs are loyal, loving, affectionate and (sometimes!) obedient. More often than not they become a really important part of the family.

And that’s why this Diploma Course in Dog Grooming is so fascinating! It gives you a chance to interact with dogs, and includes valuable advice on setting up your own business and make a living looking after our canine cousins.

Is this course suitable for me?
This course is suitable both for beginners and those with an established background with dogs. You don’t need any previous experience - the course is aimed at students who wish to provide quality grooming for their own dogs, as well as those who are thinking of setting up their own grooming business.

All you need is a love of dogs, patience and a mature outlook! However, as the course requires a great deal of time, effort and attention to detail, it is not suitable for anyone with back problems or repetitive motion injuries.

What will I learn on the course?
The Dog Grooming Diploma course gives you the opportunity to learn in detail about all aspects of grooming dogs. The course includes the history of humankind’s relationship with dogs, in-depth details of the grooming process, as well as helpful advice on how to set up and run your own dog grooming business. Even vets and dog breeders have studied this discipline successfully!

How do I gain practical experience?
Why not approach your friends and family and ask if you can groom their dogs for free? This will really boost your confidence!

Do you include work tools with the course?
No, this is a theory-based course. If you plan to start your own business you will need to buy the relevant equipment.

I already have a job
Great! But you can’t beat working for yourself. Just think: nobody to tell you what to do - you’re completely your own boss! You don’t have to answer to anyone but yourself, you can choose the hours you work, no commuting to work… once you’ve started you’ll never look back!

But there’s a recession on!
There is always a market for dog grooming, even in a recession. Dog owners are always going to want to keep their pets well groomed and looked after.
