Webstart Website Designer Course (ASET accredited)
WEBSTART is an accredited course designed for anyone wishing to learn a new skill which is interesting, rewarding and could lead to a new career. You are shown, clearly and without confusing jargon, how to design and build professional standard Web sites.
WEBSTART is a ‘step by step’ paper based course consisting of 20 lessons presented in a friendly, conversational way. It will take you from beginner to expert in short achievable steps, so you could be starting a lucrative career as a Web site designer in just a few short months.
WEBSTART is fully tutor supported via email for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and support is always available for advice on starting your own business or finding employment within the industry.
On completion of this course you will be awarded the Web Start Diploma, you can also pay aa additional fee and your assignments will be marked by ASET and you will receive a NATIONALLY RECOGNISED qualification (please contact us for details of fees)

WEBSTART students have the opportunity to design a web site for a local business or club, thus gaining valuable experience of dealing with a real customer. Some may want to design a site for their own business; alternatively a hobby or interest would be an ideal basis for this first site.
WEBSTART requires ten assignments to be completed, and submitted for 'marking' on completion of the course. These assignments are designed to test your proficiency as you learn each new technique, and they gradually progress in their level of difficulty.
The final assignment requires you to complete a professional standard web site, which must also be published on the Internet. This is a very important step, which will give you the confidence you need to advertise your services as a Professional Web Site Designer.

Who can take the Diploma in Web Design? The Diploma in Web Design is from UK Open Learning, one of the UK’s leading distance learning providers. The course is interesting and rewarding and could lead to a totally new career. It is open to anyone with a level of computer literacy. We will show you how to download free trial versions of the appropriate web design software.
Why can't I just use a Web Editor? There are indeed many good web design applications available, and two are provided for you to try as you progress through the course. However, some of your work in the future will consist of updating, fixing, & redesigning old sites, and even troubleshooting your own. It is therefore essential that you understand the coding that supports the web pages. You will gain this vital knowledge gradually as you study this course.
I may wish to undertake a more advanced courses That's great, and WEBSTART will give you a strong foundation on which to build your future skills.
