Advanced Psychology NCFE Level 4

Student Profile
This programme is designed for people who wish to gain an advanced understanding of principles and practice of Psychology.  Students must have completed an introductory course in a Psychology discipline before undertaking this programme.

Aims
The aims of the course are to enhance students’ knowledge of psychology theory and to develop a broad understanding of theories applied to practical aspects of social and cognitive psychology, child development and adaptive behaviour. The course also teaches research methods and interpretation of research data.

Pre-requirements
To register for this course, student MUST have previously completed one of the following:
GCSE Psychology grade A-B
Study House Diploma in psychology
Other Accredited Diploma in psychology or equivalent.

Duration
Students may study over any timescale of up to one year. To complete the course will take in the region of 150 hours of study.

Assessment
This course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments. No attendance at an exams centre is required.

Accreditation
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 4 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The course is provided in conjunction with Kendal Publishing Limited – a licenced NCFE centre.

Support
Students receive tutor support for a full one year from registration plus unlimited access to the student helpline during working hours.

Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies.  The course will take around 150 hours of study to complete.
