Course Description

This programme is designed for people who wish to develop more advanced book-keeping skills. It is particularly suitable for people seeking a career in book-keeping or run their own bookkeeping business.

The course aims to:

Understand the principles and requirements of the Data Protection Act
Calculate closing stock using FIFO, LIFO and AVCO principles
Undertake post-trail balance adjustments and provisions
Enter and correct entries for disposal of fixed assets
Produce an extended trial balance
Derive missing data and rectify incomplete records
Explain the concepts of going concern and business entity
Complete trading accounts for partnerships
Prepare manufacturing accounts
Complete trading accounts for limited companies
